Morasko was discovered in 1914, by soldiers digging trenches - a 77kg mass of iron was unearthed and later identified as an iron meteorite. Decades later, depressions and ponds in the area were recognised as impact craters. A total of 8 craters have been identified, ranging from 5 - 110 meters.
Most of the masses recovered from the strewnfield have been large individuals, weighing many 10's of kg's.
